The refurbishment of the listed Hanomag building in Hanover called for a lighting concept with a sure instinct – one that preserves the charm of the 1920s while offering modern functionality.<\/p>\n\n

The focus: a specially developed pendant light with a span of over 4.5 metres. It was mounted exclusively on existing cable outlets – without any new anchor points in the historic vaults. The result: a floating linear luminaire that blends harmoniously into the round arches and respectfully accentuates the architectural heritage. <\/p>\n\n

The luminaire profile in discreet dark grey looks both elegant and restrained and blends in with the metallic interior elements. Supplemented by indirect lighting, it creates an atmospheric light pattern that softly models the vaults and lends the room a modern lightness – without outshining its history. <\/p>\n\n

A successful example of how architectural light can mediate between past and present.<\/p>\n\n
